時光荏苒，孔子學院已創立了18年。在中外社會各界的大力支持和大家庭所有成員的共同努力下，孔子學院逐步發展成為知名的國際性語言教學機構和國際中文教育的龍頭品牌，深受海外中文學習者的喜愛。孔子云：“德不孤，必有鄰”。孔子學院堅持從語言入手，以文化交融，始終堅持以學員為中心，陪伴在各國民眾身邊，傳播中國語言和文化，傳遞友誼與和平，成為了廣大學員、所在社區和所有合作方的好朋友、好伙伴，為促進中外教育合作和人文交流，增進相互間的理解和友誼作出了重要貢獻。
“孔子學院日”在孔子學院創立十周年之際應運而生，2014年9月27日，成功舉辦了全球首次“孔子學院日”活動。從那時起，“孔子學院日”就成為了孔子學院大家庭最重要的節日。每年這個時節，全球孔子學院和孔子課堂都會敞開大門，舉辦豐富多彩的活動，讓學員和所在社區、城市甚至是國家的民眾感受中文的魅力、中華文化的精彩，結交新朋友，不忘老朋友，播撒友誼的種子。
2022“孔子學院日”正在向我們走來，為此，中國國際中文教育基金會倡議，全球孔子學院和課堂可結合自身實際，開展以“孔院，你身邊的好伙伴”為主題的2022全球“孔子學院日”活動，邀請孔院校友、學校師生、社區民眾、合作伙伴等到孔院做客，或主動走入社區、走訪合作伙伴，通過文化體驗、演出、論壇、展覽等方式共敘友誼、共商發展，展現孔子學院“開放包容、充滿活力、值得信賴”的伙伴形象，傳遞美美與共、和而不同的合作理念，讓孔子學院成為更多人的好伙伴！
中國傳統的中秋佳節即將到來，預祝全球孔子學院大家庭的朋友們月圓人圓、合家歡樂！期待大家享有美好的中秋佳節和精彩的“孔子學院日”！

Since the founding of the Confucius Institute (CI) 18 years ago, it has enjoyed strong support from partners among all walks of life both at home and abroad through the joint efforts of CI members. It has developed into a renowned international language education institute and a leading brand of international Chinese language education. It has also become popular among Chinese language learners overseas. As Confucius said, “Virtue is not left to stand alone.” CI adheres to language as the basis for achieving cultural integration, with students at the core. As a companion for people around the world, CI spreads Chinese language and culture, and it conveys friendship and peace between different countries. It has become a good friend and companion for a great number of students, the communities it serves, and the partners it cooperates with. Moreover, it has played a key role in promoting educational cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, as well as enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between China and the rest of the world.
The first Confucius Institute Day was held on the 10th anniversary of the founding of the institute on September 27, 2014. Since then, Confucius Institute Day has become the most important festival for CI members and partners around the world. On this day every year, Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms around the world open their doors and hold activities to allow their students and people from the communities, cities, and even countries they are located in to experience the charm of the Chinese language and the splendor of Chinese culture. They spread the seeds of harmony by offering opportunities for people to make new friends and reunite with old ones.
Confucius Institute Day 2022 is fast approaching. To that end, it is the goal of the Chinese International Education Foundation that all Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms worldwide promote the 2022 Global Confucius Institute Day theme: “Confucius Institute—A Good Friend in Your Life” in combination with their own celebrations. They are encouraged to invite CI alumni, teachers, students, community residents, and partners to visit their local CI, or they can go into their communities and pay a visit to their partners and friends to discuss development plans in the form of cultural exchanges, performances, forums, and exhibitions. In this manner, they will not only demonstrate CI’s image as an open, inclusive, dynamic, and trustworthy partner, but they will also convey the concept of cooperation featured by “greater success through combined advantages of individuals and harmony in diversity,” which will undoubtedly help CI grow as a partner for more people!
The Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional festival in China, is just a few days away. We wish all friends of CI worldwide and their family members a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! We are looking forward to a wonderful festival, as well as a splendid Confucius Institute Day!
